Nananap’s Daily Question #6 …… Alone on the edge?

There seem to be a lot of cliches in biz and one you hear is “I couldn’t have done it without my wife/husband”

Sometimes sayings are casual folk lore or even absolute nonsense, but sometimes they are not nonsense but used as space fillers in speeches (kinda empty words)?

So what about this: “I couldn’t have done it without xyz”

I note there are many successful bleeding edge start-ups where there are 2 partners – Hewlett & Packard, Gates & Allen, Page & Brin , Yang & Filo but there are also many which appear to be by individuals Dell, Branson, Dyson, but I wonder…………………. I suspect Dyson, Branson, and Dell did not stand on the edge alone and had strong silent partners with them

This sense of standing on the edge by yourself is pretty scary – and you can make bad decisions! – Luckily I have not had to stand on the edge by myself and my wife and best friend is one of my heroes – Our entrepreneurship punt is far from certain but we are where we are due to mutual support.
